Hey guys:
I know there have been scripts done for temperatures and dew points, and such, but was wondering if anyone has a good color contour for doing the heat index. Much of the nation is having a heat wave, and I thought this would be useful now for those who need them.
Any ideas welcome!
Randy

Re: heat index script
Bob, or anyone:
Does anyone have a suitable heat index script they care to share? I've been trying to create one, but no luck.
Thanks,
Randy

Sorry Randy, I forgot!
If you`re just after contoured isotherms, then that is really quite simple. The following should work. Obviously change the isotherm colours, intervals, dots/dash line or whatever you want.
Ps. Here you go. Just knocked together, haven`t really tested it so it might not be entirely accurate.

I did have a colour fill version but I seem to have misplaced it. If I get time later I`ll write another one up.download,http://www.atmos.albany.edu/weather/dat ... \Documents and Settings\Bob\My Documents\DAWS\data\plot1.dat
