 Post subject: Updating to version 2.7

I installed version 2.07 but my program says that it is still version 1.40d. Is there a problem?

Suspect it could be a Windows registry issue.
Has the programme updated? By that I mean is it DA 2.07 but only shows 1.40d at the top?

I use XP SP3 with DA 2.07 Pro but always follow a set procedure for installation for all programmes.

For DA I backup all my 'personal' files such as .MNU, .PLS etc and Style files.
Use Windows Control Panel to uninstall then REBOOT.
Install new programme then REBOOT.
Copy back all 'personal' files to their correct sub-directories and run the programme.
Some might think this is 'overkill' but.....

By following this procedure I have never experienced a problem with any programme installation.

Thanks for your reply Peter. I discovered that the program did update but with a different file structure that left my desktop shortcut pointing to the previous version.

After I submitted my reply I thought there might be something like that as ver 1.4 to DA 2.07 had many changes and the main change was file structure etc.

Good to hear it's all ok
