Temperature pallete

Post by Joe Stepansky »

I apologize if this has been asked before, but I did a search and couldn't find it. I'm getting back into seriously using Digital Atmosphere after being distracted by other things.

One thing I'd like to do is create a script that creates a nice colored temperature map. I've already scratched out on a spreadsheet a first cut at RGB color values, but it then occurred to me that I'm probably reinventing the wheel.

Are there any palletes out there I can use and tweak? My range goes from temps below -50F being RGB 255/6/0 to temps above 120F being RGB 255/0/0, with appropriate intervals in between. But there might be other ideas that would save me some "tweaking" time.

Thanks for reading.

Not before, but I certainly have now. Thanks so much for the reference, I can just work with these.
