I would like to import data from weather models like ECMWF or GFS.
I found information about GRIB files, but when I imported this, I only saw:
00 HR 10 M wind (deg)
00 HR 10 M Wind U component (m/s)
00 HR 10 M Wind V component (m/s)
00 HR MSLP
And I couldn’t plot any of them.
How can I plot model forecasts for 2 m temperature, 2 m dew point, 850 hPa temperature, etc., etc. in DA?
Thank you.
Model forecast in DA

If you have a scroll through the Scripting Lab section of the forum then you may well find the scripts, including the downloads to use, already made for you. If not then some may have something that'll be of use.

I found this: http://nomads.ncep.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/fil ... 2012022506.
But it doesn't work because it's .grib2 .
How do I get these data in .grb (for Western Europe (at least lat 45 - 65 N; lon 5 W - 20 E))?

No, I'm sorry, there isn't.Budgie wrote:Is there anything on these pages that may be of use:

I now found this: http://www.sailingweatheronline.com/grib.html.
Here you can find .grb files from HiRLAM, but it's only for sea level/surface. That's better than nothing. For North Amerika I already found some file for both sea level and upper air. It's from Wisconsin University. http://mocha.meteor.wisc.edu/grib.html
