Hi Pat,

Al I know is that HB-yacht is using data (direct?) from the WMO trunk. HB-yacht is a sponsered site and don't know how he gets access to the trunk. I have asked Norbert this in the past, but never get an answer that was satisfactory for me.

If anyone know to get legal access to the WMO ...

It seems that <fleetcode> for use in DAWS is temporary not available since august 02 12 UTC. I don't know for what reason. I've asked the webmaster of hb-yachting (Norbert Huser) for his comments, but did not get an answer jet.

I installed the i-patch over the g1-patch as I missed the h-patch. I found that Mercator and Polar Stereographic are added too. Thanks for this. I can plot maps now on Mercator; but do get a blanc image (nothing displayed) with Polar Stereographic. Is this because of the missed h-patch ...

Raw radar data is not available for Europe. Each country has it's own policy, but if published then only as images. UK offers images for each 1/2 hour without delay. Belgium almost nothing, France only on synoptic main hours, Danmark each two hours, Germany each 1/4 hr without delay and ...

I shall send you an example from January 26, 2005 00 UTC. This set contains a map from UKMO, the fleetcode and the output from DAWS.

When reloaded any archive from SFUK then I have two options in the the data -> sferics: Current and 6-hour trend. <Current> is plotting the latest in the SFUK-file and the 6-hour trend the trend from latest report. No options to plot any other requested time in that file.

Plotting (current and trends) SFUK-data works fine for latest downloaded files. But has anyone a suggustion how to plot from saved and reloaded archives. I can only display the latest (24 UTC) and its trend. But how if I wish to display the 12 UTC from any archived datafile?

Would it be possible to improve the frontdrawing mode with the correct symbols and frontlines for:

-increasing fronts;
-decreasing fronts;
-aloft fronts (upperair fronts/fronts above the surface).

This kind of fronts are offered within the fleet from hb.yacht, but are usefull for manual ...

To all,

Tim is offering a second fleetcodesource. It doesn't contain frontal data, but a lot of other data. But nothing is displayed with the <fleetcode> options in DAWS. Before to start an investigation to that datacontent: Does anyone has a shortcut for displaying that data in DWAS?
