Re: Colored terrain underlay used in Forecast Center maps

Re: European Users
We looked at fixing BUFR and the problem is the specification is enormously (ridiculously) complicated, so it can't be built natively into Digital Atmosphere. Also when I started looking around I was having trouble finding the BUFR data itself, since it is binary. So not many datastreams choose to ...

Re: Da 3.30 Fleetcode fronts not working
The IAC/FLEET capabilities were extensively fixed in the newest version V3.32, which is now posted in the Downloads section on the main page. I can't assure that fronts will always plot in the correct direction due to how the WMO code was constructed, but you now have the option to fall back on non ...

New beta test version -- V3.20 test 001
Effective March 6, 2019 we have a new version (V3.20 test 001) that supports secure https (SSL/TLS) downloads. This is our initial beta test version and could contain unexpected bugs.
For Standard Version users, you may download the software from: http://www.weathergraphics.com/dl/digatm5-3.20.test ...

Support for HTTPS almost completed
Currently we have the code in place that adds support for HTTPS (secure http over SSL/TLS). Testing was completed over the past week, and I'm about to begin coding it into Digital Atmosphere. This replaces a 20-year old code base that was used for retrieving Internet data.
