The top model level atmospheric pressure in MM5 should be a constant.
I think this would be the pressure corresponding to sigma pressure level 0.
Does anyone actually know what this pressure (in mb) typically would be in MM5?
Try 50mb. Just a guess based on personal experience while writing ...

Model data
I am using GARP/GEMPAK for thesis-related work, and am considering doing additional study on my topic after graduation.
Preferably without using GARP/GEMPAK.
Is it possible to plot data from MM5 sigma-level and pressure level output with Digital Atmosphere?
Also... one thing I would like to see ...

Re: Home weather station support
I'd love to have the ability to import my Davis WM II data into Digital Atmosphere along with routine hourly surface obs from legitimate observing stations...
I'm using VWS to import/disseminate my obs to Wunderground and my own homepage.

Cirrus & Ridges
I'm working on a project for school and seem to have forgotten some Met 101.
Can someone detail the dynamics involved that create the cirrus we see spilling over ridges? Better yet, can anyone suggest a book that details cirrus formation as it applies to the dynamics associated with ...

Where can I download the ETA and NGM model for use within Digital Atmosphere? Got the UA and SFC figured out... just would like to get the model working.

Personal Weather Station--how to import data
I have a personal weather station that I use to post data to the internet.
Is there a way that Digital Atmosphere can import my station's observations in addition to standard METARs? I'm using Virtual Weather Station to post my data to the internet.
Thank you,
Mike
