Have downloaded the 1.11b pro patch here and applied it but it still says 1.11a pro for version as shown below:

I used the "save" command at the end of some scheduled maps and acheived the desired results.

That'll work too :) EXPORT may give you more choices of frmats though that might be smaller thana BMP file.

I already have the box unticked (I guess by default). I'm not using Internet Retrieve, but pure scripted DOWNLOADS. Inspecting the raw file shows the right date, and the right data (not old) IS being plotted.
