UK Met Office forecast tropical cyclone tracks

Hi folks,

The currently available forecast tracks for tropical cyclones here: https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/data/tropicalcyclone/wtnt80.txt
is reporting that will soon be discontinued.

THIS BULLETIN IS DUE TO BE DISCONTINUED SINCE BULLETINS ARE NOW
AVAILABLE WHICH PROVIDE EXPLICIT GUIDANCE ON ...

I've cobbled together a python script to edit the ogimet output
I hope it works for you
I've done nothing clever to select the data, if the ogimet txt file format changes, some tweaks may be required.

Yes - and upper air data won't plot either.

Looks like my edit of the longitude for one location followed by a save didn't quite save properly for some reason - although it was a csv file.
I've re-re-done it and everything now appears to be OK. Interesting.

Hi Folks,

I have one problem.
When trying to read the new station table I get an error:
"Too many stations in station table. Can only hold 20000".
DA then crashes.

Has anyone seen this error?

One tweak with ICAO code OINK in Iran:
Gonbad Ghabus is 37.25 N 55.1 EAST with an elevation of 32.6 m.
