Re: European Users

Thanks for the pointer folks.
I've cobbled together a python script to edit the ogimet output
I hope it works for you
I've done nothing clever to select the data, if the ogimet txt file format changes, some tweaks may be required.

# file to read ogimet SYNOP format files and write a SYNOP ascii ...

Re: Updated station file for DAWS

Yes - and upper air data won't plot either.

Looks like my edit of the longitude for one location followed by a save didn't quite save properly for some reason - although it was a csv file.
I've re-re-done it and everything now appears to be OK. Interesting.

Re: Updated station file for DAWS

Hi Folks,

I have one problem.
When trying to read the new station table I get an error:
"Too many stations in station table. Can only hold 20000".
DA then crashes.

Has anyone seen this error?

Re: Updated station file for DAWS

Thanks for the updates Wally - much appreciated.

I just noticed some rather cold temperatures in the eastern Atlantic! A Swiss station had a minus sign (W) in the longitude rather than a positive number (E).
Tracked it down to:
06725 Blatten (Loetschental) which is 46 25 14 N 007 49 24 E according ...
