Tim has done some work to try to make DA more compatible with Vista out of the box. Please look for the announcement I will make in the next few days about a new patch, because it may solve this problem.

Tim gave me a beta version of the patch this evening, along with a list of what he changed. I am going to compare his list with mine tomorrow morning, and will most likely need to give him a few additions. Once he gets those done, I will put out a call for beta testers here. My guess is it'll be in ...

I've had several users report problems displaying radar products recently. The majority, if not all, of these are probably a result of recent changes and problems with COD's web site, which is what Digital Atmosphere uses by default to download radar data. Here is a message from Tim about this ...

It looks like COD is still working on their site. This has caused numerous users to report problems with radar in Digital Atmosphere. I will post a new thread about this with Tim's workaround so hopefully people will see it.

Thanks again for all the suggestions. I've compiled a list for Tim and he is working on the patch now that we have the book back orders taken care of. We are focusing first on fixes and later on new features. The goal is to have a patch out in late January.

Tim has installed Vista Home SP1 on one of his testing machines this week. So far he has been able to download and plot data with no problems. He did have one obstacle when installing. We are working on a FAQ, so here is the problem he encountered, along with the solution, in FAQ form:
