Actually, my understanding is that there is special support for obtaining radar *images*, i.e. plain GIF or PNG pictures, and having DA interpret them with a few hints from the digatmos.rdy file.

Being Italian, for now I have only searched for Italian (or Swiss, since I am in the north) radar sites.

However, I'm sure that I also stumpled upon a German radar during my searches (although I'd need to search again ...
