Hi Jeff,

I'm trying to decode some of the NHC/TPC grib files, specifically the tpcprblty files located at ftp://ftp.tpc.ncep.noaa.gov/wsp/

I've inserted parmeter 191 HURR in gridparm.dat but the probs plot as flat lines in PCGRIDDS32 ver 3.4 09/2007

Any ideas?

I found a bug in NGRB2PCG32. 2.13 is looking at PCGMODE.DAT for the output directory from the first line:

'MENU'
'c:\PCGRIDDS32\GRIDDATA' 'c:\PCGRIDDS32\GRIDDATA'
'METER'
'WORLD'

but PCGRIDDS32.EXE is looking for the start up mode in the first line. So, you need to change the code in ...

I know, I know, that was lazy huh? I thought I could get away with it by getting you to run NGRB2PCG32 on a file from that site and creating the same problem. Okay, I'll work for it! :wink:

Has anyone had any luck with WRF NMM grib2 files? I ftp'd some from (tgftp.nws.noaa.gov/SL.us008001/ST.opnl/MT.hires_MR.nmm_CY.12
/RD.20071012/PT.grid_DF.gr2_AR.east05) and ran NGP2PCG.exe which crashed almost immediately. These are very large files and I wonder if NGP2PCG is choking on it.
