I am trying to download data for octant I from for example
ftp://noaa.gov.uk/us008.gf096_(date/time)_HxIDx
It seems to import into DAWS fine and I can select a field. It wont draw any contours however. Has anyone any idea why?
I have downloaded other data from marine sites etc and they plot fine, but I want more than just winds and PRMSL.
Thanks

Come on, someone must have had a similar problem or could easily replicate the situation. Can DAWS cope with grib data in octants?

Search in this forum database for grib and you will find why!

I appreciate you taking the time to reply. I have trawled through the past messages and found 2 other people with the same problem...but no explanation and no fix. If you are sure you have seen an explantion or a fix, I am willing to trawl harder!! Many thanks

Somewhere you will a note that GRIB is not full supported at this moment, but that this is planned for future releases, Use PCGRIDS for the moment or GrADS.
