Pat:

I don't have a basemap centered on grb like I do centered on arx. You asked me if I wanted a basemap centered on grb, and said yes, but I did not see one on your server. Unless I missed something.

Pat:

I have just downloaded the maps zip, thanks.

Now, the two folders c:\convert, and c:\maps both contain files. Do I need to put both of these folders (directories) INTO DA WS or keep them out? Also, is there a limit on how many images you can put into a loop?

I'm going to try this out this evening, and I hope it works :)

Pat:

I just did a few test runs of the script, and it gives me a "can't find style" error. I have all the maps you sent saved in both the convert and maps directories. How can I launch this manually?

In deep sh*t again!

Something must have gotten corrupted with your classic style file???

Run the ksteloop.dsf in DA WS and you're all set....you'll need to add an upload line to the script.

The maps are centered on Stevens Point...300 scale...800X600

Okay, I kind of figured that.

I have the download (kste) thanks!
Yeah, I am still fighting with a script to upload to my website. It's kind of a funky setup. Anyway, I'll get back to you in a few days with a status on all this. Taking a well deserved mini vacation.

Chat with you later guy....

Hi Pat:

I've tried running the scripts you provided, and DA WS just gives me another dam problem, and I am very fed up with it! :x
This time it tells me the map is not compressed, so it was copied to output. Quite frankly, I have serious doubts this is going to work because I keep on running into some kind of error when running the scripts, and it don't make any sense to me! I don't alter the scripts, and I did as you told me to, so I am at wits end.

If you want me to try something else, I will. But I'm afraid more errors will pop up. Please advise!!!!

In great distress,

Randy

The Reason why it is giving you a Error, at least of what i can thing of, You have to make sure you have a file for Radar.gif, Radar1.gif, Radar2.gif ect... in the Directory that you have your Bat file in. And an Easy way to only make one Image instead of like twelve is use a Batch file like this:

@ECHO OFF
copy Radar8.gif Radar9.gif
copy Radar7.gif Radar8.gif
ect.
copy Radar.gif Radar1.gif

End batch file!

Then you could either do one of two things,
upload the gif files to the server and run them with the Java script

OR

before you end the Batch file, put in Tims Batch script to make the Radar Animated Gif

Make sure you use the Spawn command though!

Is this a little confusing??? Let me know. YOu can PM or IM me, on the internet and i will help you get it up and running if you want! Look at my profile for my s/n!

First off, I did'ent mean to come on so strong with that post guys, but you gotta know that I followed what Pat told me to do step by step, and when I ran the script - some kind of error resulted. However, I don't recall Pat ever mentioning the multiple copy radar images - unless I missed it somehow.

I apologize that I am dumb with this kind of thing, as I've never worked with writing scripts before - never needed to. This looping radar works for Pat because he knows about this and DAWS fairly well. That is great! But, I never got into understanding programming language or scripts, so I will end up with problems, and need help. Up to this point, Pat has done a great job, but now because his looping works, and mine don't, he feels I am lying (error that doesn't exist) about the error.

Well Pat, it does exist, and I have to deal with it. Thanks wxforecaster for your help. You can email me here "rgroom@familyonline.com"

Keep up the great work Pat!!!!
