A more “sophisticated” way to deal with hurricanes.

At the moment there are 5 possibilities to retrieve data about hurricanes. A quick look on the site showed that there are 4 files for Atlantic: nr.1 to nr 4. Nr. 4 is the youngest (Dennis). At the moment I don’t know what will happen if a new hurricane is coming? I suppose file nr. 5 is added. And then? Starting with nr. 1 or remove the oldest one and shift all files so that the latest is nr. 5 again?
If I mark all 5 files in “retrieve file” the download will hang on nr 5, trying again and again (of course, the file does not exist) but you have to click the button to continue. Same when you do this in batch.
My wishes
1.Is it possible to change the download that it takes just a few seconds to wait and immediately continue with the next site?
2.Is it possible to change the program that or just the latest file is downloaded, or all files?
3.Scripts. At the moment there is just one command: hurricane (not documented). Depending on the solution of 2. give the possibility to display all tracks or just one (the latest?).
Greetings
Fred

Front drawing - free line dawing rather than clicking location
Editable isobars - ie able to manipulate 'model' output allowing for topographic effects "Lee trough" deformation of isobars
Internet data - Grib inporting sites
Would be nice
A few 1.2 Requests

Forgive me if others have already asked for these.
1) Ability to filter out colors with Nexrad and/or apply the clutter blanker.
During evening/night especially the 1.5deg tilt is brutal with clutter.
Using weathertap I can "ignore" certain "levels" to mask the clutter
and in other cases the clutter blanker masks it by default.
2) When contoring a plot, the accuracy of the contoring seems to be
weighted towards the visible plots. I'd prefer to optionally have the
contor performed on the weight of the available data so I can keep the
plots to a minimum for the sake of visibility.
3) Better Grib support
thanks Tim!

Request a Wind Barb command to reduce the amount of barbs on the map (for example on jetstream)

- analyzing and auto-drawing front lines
- print data/numbers in the drawing lines -> see pressure lines by the sembach pictures:
http://ows.public.sembach.af.mil/asp/sy ... =GifImages
(pressure-line)
--- 1024 --------------------- 1024 --------------------- 1024 ---
- turn on/off the data lines that appear on the work chart in the bottom left corner when producing a weather map from scripts...

A few"wish list" items that have come to mind recently:
-A SHEF decoder. Alot of hydromet data in the U.S (Co-op, rivier, etc) are sent in SHEF formats. Great potential!
- HPC forecast frontal bulletins. The format is simular to the ASUS1. If I recall...it has forecasted positions out to 48 hours. The data is available on the NWS FTP server I think.
- The 3-d cross sections and roaming soundings were great! I would love to see them again, along with the EMWIN import function!
That is all that comes to mind right now...but so far, so good!

For the TimeStamp. Instead of when the time of which the Image was generated, how about the time of which the Data was Generated! Say that you produced the Image at 8:57:56 CDT PM but the Data was produced at 8:50:00 CDT PM, it would be nice to produce on when the data was vaild!

Don't know if this has been touched on before but... I'd like the ability to have the scheduler enabled by default when booting the program.
