Metric units selected in Preferences and saved.
Charts plot in Farenheit because using Analysis menu;
Temperature menu: Temperature and wind chill still show as deg F
Moisture menu: Dewpoint and Heat Index still show as deg F

Hello:
DA2000 is an "older" release of the program, and has worked fine for many users, saving for a few glitches hither and tither. I'm not sure, but I think metric units never did work in that release, although I did plot upper air temperatures here in the U.S. in metric. I never used upper air data anywhere else, so I can't really say for sure.
Since Tim is currently tied up with beta testing the fourthcoming official release of DAW, I doubt he'll have time to answer questions about the older version right now. Just relax, and try again later.
Cheers,
Randy

thanks,Stu.
By the way : has anyone managed to retrieve and plot the fleetcode data yet??
Has anyone managed to download GRIB-files and mport them for Europe??
The large-28 Mb - gribfiles still don't work ( these are global avn-files so they should work for entire world)
ftp://ftpprd.ncep.noaa.gov/pub/data/nccf/com/
for instance :

The Celsius/Fahrenheit preferences apply only to station plots. Analysis contours get their info from the graphics scripting language (this way you'll even be able to do Kelvin if you want). Thanks for pointing this out -- I'll make the change in Preferences so it's more obvious now.
