Can anyone help?
Some time ago I used to be able to download sferics for Europe but that seems to not be the case recently.
I know the UK Government restrict such information (along with much else besides met data) requiring registration and payment, of course but I would like to display sferics again as I used to do.
I have seen somewhere on this forum a comment regarding sferics but I cannot find the note.
Can anyone help with a new download site?

The SFLOC data was stopped by the UK Met Office in December 2007. It has been discussed on uk.sci.weather, but at the moment there does not seem to be a replacement available.

Meteocentre (UQAM Montreal) is showing European Sferics plots again. On their maps, the legend credits: http://www.blitzortung.org/ for the data feed.

The Blitzortung data is from a Boltek Lightning system, and is not that reliable compared to the SFLOC data.

The SFLOC data could also be processed by DA which was a very nice touch to the charts. The Met Office have changed to an ATDnet system (Arrival Time Difference) which has many more returns and is not able to be pout into a message format.

An example is available from Sembach:

which uses UKMO data.
