decoding Aust BOM .AXF files

Hi All
I am new to DAE (not yet registered..Soon for sure).
My problem is i can't decode Australian BOM .AXF files.. I can download them (either with DAE or other FTP) but when I import them there is no (or possibly only 1 stn decoded) from either MET or Syn files (looking at them with 'Troubleshoot data' menu)
I have looked at the .fmt file all seams ok(to me!). Being in Brisbane the Australian files would be good.
As I say I'am new to DAE so could(read as most likely) be missing something, Can someone help?
