I hate to be the bearer of more bad news, but I have yet another issue, and you already know about it. After doing a plot in DAW of anything, say surface station plots, or radar, or even surface temperatures(not the contours), I click erase map, and lo, I get a white square in the upper left corner of the analysis, and the rest of the map is still plotted.

I've just installed the latest patch 1.0e too! In order to erase the chart, I need to reload the saved map again, and things are fine. I believe you did address this issue.....

Just do a base map creation again based on your current map, resave it, and now the erase will work now. At least it worked for me - it is NICE to have erase work again.
