Line Shapefiles still aren't importing properly

Anytime I try to import a line shapefile I end up with a staight line drawn from the beginning to the end of a segment. For example, say one imported the hydrography shapefile from the USGS US Atlas site. DA WS draws the rivers and streams fine, there is just an extra straight line added from the beginning of the river/stream to the end. This is a problem with all the line shapefiles I have tried. Area shapfiles do not have this problem and draw perfectly.

I can't work on this without having access to the same exact file. I need the URL.

I should also add that point files, such as cities, are also drawn perfectly in DA WS V1.0N.

Tim,
Here is a direct link to the file:
http://edcftp.cr.usgs.gov/pub/data/nati ... 020.tar.gz
A rather large file at that, but as I siad DA WS draws the rivers/streams fine, it just adds that extra striaght line from beginning to end. Anything in line shapefile format behaves the same. You could download railroads and roads from the homepage:
http://nationalatlas.gov/atlasftp.html
and find this is true.
Thanks, Tim!!

Tim,
I also sent you an email with an image of how DA WS handles the drawing of the hydrography file. This may give you a better idea of what I'm talking about.

Thanks, I fixed it. Apparently all the poly shapes were being drawn as polygons regardless of whether they were polygons or polylines. The maps draw fine now. Will be in the next release.
I also upped the polygon size limit further to 50,000 points (how much can they pack in these darn files anyway?)

Thanks for the fix, Tim!! I thought it was something like that:) I'm not the best at explaining a problem, however:)
Thanks for the great work on DA WS!!!!

Tim,
The latest version of DA WS, version 1.0p, still hasn't corrected this problem. I noticed you didn't include it in the version change summary, so it must be an upcoming fix.
Thanks!
