Digital Atmosphere aboard the train

Here you can see a plot of our journey towards New Orleans using Digital Atmosphere Professional and the GPS menu. This was late Wednesday morning. That final dot is where we sat for an hour waiting for the CSX railroad yard to let us through.

I have to say that terrain that we went through was immensely spectacular. It was all extremely flat marshland, and was filled with an incredible number of insects. As we moved through that area I saw a continuous cloud of millions of insects passing the train... I believe a lot of them were dragonflies.

Hey, Tim, you should have done a doppler radar plot when you were travelling across that flat terrain...just to see how many dragonflies were being detected:) Would surely have made for a good image.....:)

Amtrak hasn't gotten around to installing DSL on the trains unfortunately. :)
