Seems the cod.edu site is either dead or changed ... getting file not found for the last day or two. Anyone have any info?

Wally just checked the doppler data and it does seem to be down.

Well, I checked the directory used for default:
http://weather.cod.edu/digatmos/radar/
i.e. http://weather.cod.edu/digatmos/radar/MHX/MHX.BREF1 ... etc.
and it's now gone. The rest of the site for other data is unchanged.
Perhaps the radar data will not be carried there anymore.

If that is so, Tim, please, is there any way to streamline the NOAA data ingest? Both other server options take an insanely looooong time, and almost make the NIDS radar option USELESS.

I will check with my contact at COD to find out what the problem is.

Eric Nelson at COD reports that he was cleaning the hard drive and accidentally zapped the symbolic link. He says it should be working now. Glad it's back up in time for the storm.

In the process of restoring the sym-link for the radar data, I added data for HI, AK, PR, and Guam. My apologies for the outage.

No problem! In fact, many many thanks for providing this data. Further, the whole area including surface, aloft, etc. is a WONDERFUL thing to offer to the weather community (esp. DAWS users).

And thanks for HI, AK, PR, and Guam. It has been useful already (i.e. Jeanne).
