Has anyone been having problems importing and using NGM and/or ETA FOUS data with DAWS? Whenever I try to import a file from http://www.atmos.albany.edu/weather/dat ... casts/mod/YYMMDDHHZZ.ngm (or .eta) or any other place, I get a "No ETA or NGM output was found" error. When I go to troubleshoot data, all that is there is the "OUTPUT FROM ETA 12Z OCT 20 04" header followed by a bunch of empty space before the next header appears. The data file I try to import is always full (about 75k or so).
Thanks for the help!

Lance,
FOUS data in DAWS is being phased out in favor of GRIB support, therefore, the FOUS module in DAWS is probably no longer functional. Try downloading GRIB files with an .awp211 extension instead. Please note that GRIB support is spotty right now and not many files will work.
If you need a specific place to look, you can try here...
http://weather.noaa.gov/pub/SL.us008001 ... _gr.awp211
This particular file is for the ETA model, 84-hour forecast. You'll have to back up through the directory structure to get to other times. Ideally, you'll want to write a script to download these files for yourself 'handsfree'.
