Has anyone run into a Range check error when trying to generate; Europe, Northern Europe, Central Europe, or Southern Europe?

Can you post the exact map settings that cause it to happen? If I can duplicate it on my machine within the compiler, then I can fix it.

Tim,
The map settings are as follows:Lat. +48;Long. +025;Scale:3800;Image Width-800; Image Height-600. These setings work for most of the maps I have tried to generate. However, the ones causing problems print out perfectly until they get to the latitude and longitude generation, that's when I get the Range check error.

Tim,
I just tried using Metar,LFRA for Paris, Orly and got a good map of Europe.

Dick - what happens when you disable latitude/longitude generation?
File > Preferences > Maps > Graticule (lat/long grid) - OFF
File > Preferences > Maps > Graticule Type - NONE

Tim,
I still get the error message. It posts the message and after I OK it , the mouse cursor indicates an hour glass, which, I would guess, indicates it is still trying to work?

Please install the new V1.1h patch, and if you get an error on the map let me know the last three things that show up in the Status Box. You can drag the mouse over them and use Ctrl+C to copy them to the clipboard and then post them in your message here with Ctrl+V.

Tim,
I re-installed the new V1.1h patch and got the same error. Here is the last three things in the status box: GENERATE: Drawing vector map (5)...
» GENERATE: Preparing to draw (6)...
» GENERATE: Drawing vector map (6)...

The (6) tells me that it is getting hung up while drawing Coastlines. Try going to File > Preferences > Maps and uncheck "coastlines". This won't change the map much. I'll add some range checking and see if this fixes it.

Tim,
That did the trick, thanks.
