With the loss of 211 grid format datasets, what is left for DAWS users who hoped to make some using of the grib ingest facility?

Anything larger than the 211 format usually ends up crashing the software. At the moment, the grib facility with DAWS is useless without 211 :?: Unless someone can offer some suggestions on a way forward.

Thanks,

Have you tried getting GRIB data from the Nomads 5 site? You can select the model data you want, then set a subregion to decrease the size of the downloaded file. The site is : http://nomad5.ncep.noaa.gov/ncep_data/ I've been using them for some time now for data for PCGRIDDS 32.

Cordially,
