I can confirm that APRSWXNET support will be in the very next release (patch) of Digital Atmosphere. This also includes Internet Panel entries where you can retrieve observation collectives to plot regional maps. This supplements the federal network quite nicely.

Sample screen shot (for Texas, since I live there and test that area a lot). This data meshes seamlessly with METAR, SYNOP, etc, but I've singled out the APRSWXNET reports for this screen shot.
