Comments and history | Large airfield with 11 large pads for bombers and 11 large revetments. Veseloye is an airfield of concrete hexagonal plates built in 1943 reportedly by Soviet prisoners of war. The airfield hosted 5th Gv MRAP. Until 1989, the Tu-16 flew from 1985 to 1994 - Tu-22M3. This Tu-16 regiment was disbanded in April 1995, with 5 aircraft remaining which were sent to Poltava and Ostrov. Until 2000, the territory still held the airport competition karting championship in Ukraine. |
