Help with grib (gfs vs. raymarine)

Post by Sinner »

Hello! first, Sorry for my inglish. Is very very bad.

Well, I have a problem with grib data.

I download the raymarine grib for Mediterrean zone (I live in Catalonia, spain) and the results are very approximately. But I want mores dates, and then I download the gfs dates of there http://nomads.ncdc.noaa.gov/data/gfs/200504/

My zone is 213 (believe...). Buy when I simulate the gfs, all results are bad, irrational.

I try with all analysis options, but..nothing

How can I simulate correctly the gfs?

Thanks!!!

Grid point values will plot just fine using the nomads data if you make sure to check the plot check-box, then select a field from what has been ingested. Contours may not match up the best.

(you are using the correct file, 213)

I did notice grid point values have a tendency to overlap a bit at 0 degrees longitude. Make sure your analysis is set to nearest neighbour as well..you can reduce the smoothing to make the countours match more precisely.

Also if you are getting a range check error when generating a European map using version 1.1i, switch the map projection to satellite and this should correct that problem.
