Satellite Basemaps

These work with the Central overview regional view, the TX OK zoom, and the Great Lakes zoom found at this site:

Point to regional/sector, then central, and select the zooms. Click on the produced image for the larger maps, save this, load the basemap that correlates with the saved image, then import the image/map. Make sure you click on the latest image on the bottom of the page.

The central overview bmp isn't an exact fit but it is close....sorry I stamped the satellite image on the great lakes one...it will still work the same as the others.

PS The TX OK and Central bitmaps will look a little strange but they are fine once loaded. These are mainly for the GOES imagery.

Basemap for the MODIS and AVHRR Great Lakes Zoom...

Same website as above..make sure to try out the true color maps:) Of course these don't update as often as the GOES images, but the quality is great!

For those who clicked on this before and may have gotten a file not found error..sorry about that! This one won't change for a long time. I had to reshuffle because of storage space limits earlier.
