When is the next update for DAWS going to be out? And what will be new with the update. Thanks in advance!

Hi Jon:

This is one of my favorite questions too! By now, Tim should have his new home done and be living in it. He did say that his time was freeing up, so we'll see what happens. I hope some kind of update is due out shortly!

Did you two ever get the radar looper figured out in script form?

Just curious..

Moving on to the thread point; when Tim releases the next update, I hope it will include gradient fills. I'm in no rush to see this, but it does make for a highly visual addition to the current Digital Atmosphere!

Hi Pat:

Yes we did get it to work, but now I need to figure out a script or other way to get the data onto my website. I don't have a clue how that works at all :?

I'm with you Pat on gradient fills. Speaking of which, if I sent you a few scripts, could you get them to output gradient fills for me? I tried reviewing how to do scripts, and it's way over my head!

That would be really nice.

I am in a RUSH to get GRIB support for Scripting.

I did E-mail him and he said he is going to be working on a Book before the hoilday.

Boy of boy do i wish we can get GRIB support for Scripting though!!!

Randy,

I don't do anything with scripts over the internet, sorry. In addition, the gradient fills only work with Dig ATM 2000, and there are times the scripts don't like to execute on time with the "old" version.

Oh sure now another book! It seems to me he is just screwing around and not updating DAWS as he should. I am sure many of us are really getting fed up with the poor customer service.

I normally don't complain much, but this is nuts. I think the program should be updated and finished before writing another book.

Bah :x

Sorry if I sound "out of sorts", but I don't mean to.

How long has it been for the 1.2 version to come out?

I understand what you are going through Randy. All i want is GRIB support for Scripting so i can start making my own model images for my site. Still waiting on that......

But Tim does have to make money and i guess he makes more with Books then with DAWS! With the Hoilday season coming up, i can see this, but yet again DAWS could sell BIG TIME!

I would just learn GEMPAK (which is FREE) but i have no idea how to use LINUX and set up GEMPAK (it is a steep learning curve). I think I need to take a course on Linux at a local college!
