It's not just isopleths. Anything on the Analysis menu (or analysis scripts) that uses contours (CONT) does the same thing. It happens in various parts of the world, so I suspect that CONT needs a Mercator fix.
Hopefully Tim will be able to get a new version out that fixes this soon?
I know Mercator has only been added recently, but unfortunately I need Mercator projection maps to work with MesoMap Live.
If there's a utility that will convert Orthographic GIF files into Mercator GIFs that would work, but I've not found one...or at least not in the free/cheap price range

It's been tricky enough getting people to use/understand a single map projection without complicating matters by having multiple projections available. Being based on rectangles, Mercator is fairly easily understood by most people and as people need to provide edge coordinates for their maps, that's also fairly easy for them to work out. Providing equivalent coords for an orthographic map is likely to lead to more problems...how would users specify the map coords in a way that would allow further output to be accurately overlaid onto the map?

I can advise you to have a look on the site of David Taylor: http://www.satsignal.net/. He has a lot of mapping tools. If you cannot find what you are looking for, you can always send him an email.
Thanks for reminding me about David Taylor's site. I already use GeoSatSignal and his utilities are definitely in my price range.
Having reminded me about GSS, I went to look at it again. I've not used the feature before, but it does have a projection re-mapping. I'll have a better look at it in the next few days.
Of course I hope Tim manages to find the problem with the Mercator mapping in DAWS. It's better to do the work all in on place than to try to split it into two parts!
