Coloured/dark basemaps

I`ve seen maps created at wunderground, intellicast, unisys and a few other sites. They use basemaps that have dark backgrounds and land colours, yet the transparent colourfills look fine. Why is it when a colourfill script is run on DAWS over a coloured map, the colourfills look really bad. The basemap colours clash and it looks a mess.

Is there a work-around this yet, apart from creating white basemaps only?

No work around on that yet. E-mail Tim with the Problem! I already E-mailed him with that problem and he said he might have a fix for that soon!!!
