Next update for DAWS

Tim wrote me a couple of replies... I`m sure he won`t mind me posting the detail here for all to see..

I asked about having PNG support for exporting, also if he could give us an option to edit the legend block by putting in our own remarks/comments. Finally I also asked about that hot topic.... GRIB!!

Right now the legend block is hardcoded, but I'd be glad to make
the change in the next edition. Same with the GIF support...
it should be no big deal to add in PNG. I've handwritten your
requests to my project notebook and they're high priority
items.

My estimations are always bad, but it should be in the next couple
of weeks. The GRIB thing is also a high priority. Right now I am
redoing the interface so it looks sharper, and will build a reworked
program on top of that.

Thanks for the update Brit!! GRIB is one of my main concerns and i cant wait untill the "newer" version comes out!! Then and i really be able to get working on this! Cant wait!!!

I would think that a new update should be coming really soon. Anyone hear anything???

I hope Tim is aware (most likely he is) that NCEP is going to switch to Grib2 very soon (this spring). I think this will have an impact on any changes Tim makes in this area.
