Photoreal Maps

Post by SoFlaChris »

Good morning,

I'm trying to use a photoreal basemap of CONUS. I understand that these maps come with the Pro version which I have.

How does one create a map like this? I haven't found anything in any searches of this forum or in the help file on this subject.

TIA,
Chris

Photoreal was replaced by import planetary map. Find a 2:1 ratio planetary map that covers 90 north-south, and 180 east-west (the entire surface of the globe)...click map on the menu then import planetary map and open the plantary map.

This site has some good textures which attempt to approximate what Earth "really" looks like:

(be sure to download the jpegs)

Shaded relief maps are available from here:
