Double plots problem

Post by bmwwxman »

Have just installed Digital Atmosphere Pro version and am having a little problem with my plots. Although the plot model in the preferences appears to be correct, I am getting something a little different on the maps. Upper air plots are appearing with a number instead of a station circle and something (it looks like it might be an "M") is being plotted either over or under the height value. Not all stations are showing this problem. If I do QC, I find there are numerous reports for each station, several of which are something other than standard upper air reports as they have -9999 for heights and winds. When I remove these reports, the "M" under (over?) the height disappears but I still get a number instead of a station circle. Is there a way to sort these partial reports out of the database once it has been downloaded? I have started using a script to plot the maps and would like to find a way to fix this problem without manual intervention. Obviously, I can't go through every data point manually!

Any advice gratefully received...

Hi Jim,

Try changing the font setting and see if that helps any(under file font mode). If changing the font to the NMC one helps, the font may not have installed properly for whatever reason.
