Date is not updating

Post by synoptic »

The new version seems to have problems updating the date when running date fetch by script. When I use the data options and retrieve new data the date is updated shown in the stamp on the right low corner when making maps. When I use data retrieve by script the stamp date is not updated. Hope that can be fixed! And please make it possible to select show or not show the stamp. Because of this error I now have fresh maps with old date in the richt low corner while the stamp I generate by script in the left top corner show the corect date, thats confusing for the reader of the map.

Hope it can be fixed.

Part of the problem here is the lack of date/time information in most raw data files... you do get the calendar day in most cases, but month and year are usually missing, and Digital Atmosphere has no way to know whether historical data is being looked at.

The current scheme is for Digital Atmosphere to obtain date/time info from the following and store it in DIGATMOS.DMY for plotting use:
* Any imported filename containing 8 digits, which is assumed to be the date/time in YYMMDDHH format.
* If an Internet retrieval (non-script) button is clicked, we just obtain it from the time tokens.

The problem is with scripts neither of those things happen.

So effective with V1.21 the software will obtain date/time info from the computer, assuming it is live data, each time a script operation is done as a preliminary guess.
