Tim,
I've noticed that the XVG data is always bad for the Longville report; however, the data for KXVG is acceptable (have no way of knowing if it is 100% correct as I'm not there, but it looks reasonable:). This messes with the analysis functions a bit. Whilst I can get rid of it using quality control, I was wondering if you could advise on just how to remove it, the XVG station, from DA WS. I don't like to mess with the station file too much as some older stations could be deleted by mistake.
Thanks

Add KXVG to the digatmos.pri file. That should override the XVG obs from plotting...this method worked for me. I'm not sure but the XVG site may be located in Canada.

Albert,
Thanks so very much for your help!!
I tried editing the file in notepad as you suggested. Starting first with KXVG, and later on with XVG. It doesn't seem to have made a difference on my machine. Even so, your suggestion is appreciated. I'll just stick with the QC function for the time being.

It's not just XVG, either. It seems that just about every station in Canada that starts with an X ends up with spurious data. I just went ahead and deleted all of them from the station file.
While we're discussing stations, I keep getting obs showing up that aren't even in the digatmos.stn file and they invariably contain bogus data that I have to delete. Does anyone know what might be causing this?
thanks,
Bob
