I'm using DAWS Pro 1.1h and attempting to import a very large planetary map (21600k x 10800k). When the rendering process reaches the end of the base map the status line indicates that it is rendering lattitude -77 and then seems to go into an endless loop that can only be stopped by crashing the program. I don't experience this using an 8k map though.
Is there a limitation on the pixel count of the maps that can be imported?
Thanks!
planetary map import issue
Hi Dale,
I use 1gb as well but I've not tried to import anything of that size.

IMO Fridger Shrempp's 8k is the best, you'll have no trouble importing the 16ks though.

Thanks for the link!
The 16k files did work properly and provide the level of detail I need for a tightly zoomed in image.

Hi Fred,
That's what is meant by an 8k map. I actually already knew the dimensions because the size of the bitmap is the amount of ram being used. A 16K map, double the size of yours would be a 384 mb bitmap and use 384 mb of ram to open, which your system can open, but it would slow things down a bit.
